Our Generation Retro

I have a confession.  I have not always been very keen on the Our Generation doll clothes.
BUT, I have seen some items lately that I think are great.
I saw this dress on Pinterest and I fell in love!

I went to my Target and, as usual, they did not have it.  So I ordered from the website.
This  the 'To a Tea Retro' outfit and I love it.

I tried it on April first.  She definitely looks good in blue!

Cute straw hat.

 Handkerchief and lace gloves.

It also comes with this teacup and macaroons.

The pink crinoline matches the pink shoes.

I love the big bow on the collar.

Next I tried it on Grace.
This blue becomes her as well.

On Grace this dress reminds me of some fabrics I saw in Hawaii.

I remember wearing gloves to church
when I was a little girl.

Very pretty.

I also recently picked up this Retro set.
The OG Park Day Set

It comes with a blanket, radio, sunglasses and a book of poetry.

The radio plays 6 songs.

The poetry book is empty, but maybe the girls will fill it up?

And these cute sunglasses with a rose on each eye.

Grace is feeling Retro!

Wow, you found the radio set! That dress is very pretty too, it looks nicer on. I agree that it has a great retro vibe.

I have some OG Retro stuff. I love that Park Day set. I wish AG would have done something like that w/ Melody's radio.

Flo, I was SO surprised to find the radio set! My Target just never seems to have any of the OG items I am interested in. I don't know if I just get there too late and all the cute stuff is already gone or they just don't stock it. Anyway I love the radio set and the Retro dress!

Sharry, I have been looking through more of OGs retro items since finding this dress. A lot of their other clothes are not that interesting to me, but this dress just took my fancy - obviously. :) I assumed that Melody's radio played too that's why Target made their version play! I rarely ever go to the AG website. (shh - don't tell anyone!)

*From Julie's doll mom, Sharry:*

Melody's version is just a plain ole radio. What's so special about that? I wanted something that at least played Motown "sounding" music. AG made this huge deal about Detroit and Motown and not one of Melody's accessories plays anything that remotely sounds like Motown.

You know they made such a big deal about how Melody's line had a committee ensuring historical accuracy. I can't believe they'd miss something so obvious.

I love the dress! it is so cute! I have that radio set too. It is adorable! We can't get a lot of OG stuff here in Canada but Mastermind toys Canada online has many of the retro sets so that's where we got ours.
