I read ALL the Little House books when I was about your age Julie. I also loved Ramona the Pest - so funny. I also read all the Black Stallion books about the same time. Keep reading Julie, it's a world of adventure.
This past spring my grandson and I started reading the Magic Treehouse series. We are now on book 24. Adventures abound as we learn about history. That gives me an idea. Maybe someday I'll make a treehouse for my boy dolls. Fawn
I LOVE THIS!!! So cute, and for a good cause. My favorite is the Star Trek photo with the twins, that is awesome. I was a Marguerite Henry fanatic as a kid.
Wow!!! What a great job you did of putting the girls (and) boy into the book scenes!!! Just how I feel when I'm reading a book. I become one of the characters. I love Christian romance, Janette Oke books (if you haven't read her books, they are a must)!!! I must have read the Little House books dozens of times.
Thanks Flo, I read ALL the Marguerite Henry books I could find. I had the Breyer horse models of Misty and Stormy. The first MH book I read was "Misty of Chincoteague". My husband and kids were amazed one day that I knew so much about this obscure island off the Eastern Coast and all about their pony roundup! Haha
PS - Flo, I love the Star Trek photo with the twins too. I was chuckling to myself about how the original Star trek would definitely have had some lovely identical twins - if they had thought of it.
Thanks Linda! I love playing around with my photo editor. If you haven't seen my doll Pride & Prejudice, http://thesavagedolls.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-doll-size-pride-prejudice.html
or "The midnight Ride of Dr. Prescott" http://thesavagedolls.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-midnight-ride-of-dr-prescott.html
You should check them out. I have read many Janette Oke books, I love them!
I still have my Breyer Misty! I'm seriously thinking that next year we might make the trip to Chincoteague, it's one of those places I've always wanted to see. But not around Pony Penning day, that has to be crazy busy! Too funny we are talking about this because I just wrote a post last night that has a reference to the Misty books.
You know my Mom kept my Breyer horses for years thinking one day I would want them, but NO, I was SURE I wouldn't. What was wrong with me? I envy you going to Chincoteague. I would love to see it, but like you not at round-up time.
