My dad is a Colonel in the Marines.
We just got stationed at Pendleton.

    Hey Martin!

It's great that a new guy moved into the neighborhood! Hi Justin! We are Danny Campbell, Jason Gerard, Kyle Lewis and Marc Ellerbee. Martin can tell you all about us. We're from the 1970s! We know you guys are gonna have a groovy time together! Keep on Truckin'!

  2. Hey dudes, this is Martin. I have my new friend Justin with me. I thought you'd like to hear from him.

Hey, this is Justin. My new friend Martin told me I had a message from you guys. Wow! the 1970s, I don't think my mom was even born yet! That's cool that Martin knows you though. He says your totally cool. I'm pretty happy I met Martin. It's hard for us Marine kids to make friends sometimes, we move a lot.

    Thanks again dudes.

    Justin

  3. So happy to see that Martin has a new friend! Welcome Justin!! Poor Ryan is still the only boy around here, and he never lets us forget it.

  4. Yes, Martin is definitely happy to have a boy to hang out with. Martin has been surrounded by girls for too long!

So glad to see that Martin now has a buddy. Looking forward to more stories about them and their adventures. BTW, love Justin's sandals!

  6. Thanks Fawn. Martin is very happy to have a new friend and the girls are looking forward to meeting his sisters. Those sandals are part of an older AG hiking outfit. THey are one of those AG items that work for a boy or girl.

  7. Hiya, Martin! So glad you have a new friend in the neighborhood and you both can plot together escape from your sisters. LOL I see you're holding The Sorceror's Stone. We just finished reading the harry Potter series. Have you read all seven books?

Welcome, Justin! have a great time!

  8. Hi Melody, I have read them ALL! I am definitely a Potter Head. I have tried my best to get my sisters to join in. Emma loves Harry and my youngest sisters too. My mom made me a Gryffindor robe and uniform AND she crocheted a scarf. I made my wand from a tree branch. I'm pretty sure it has a unicorn hair inside, haha. I am starting all the books again. It's a great book for sitting in my treehouse.

  9. Hey, Martin! That's awesome. We're all Potterheads here. :-) We don't have any robes yet, but we've taken several sorting quizzes and 4 of us are Hufflepuff (so is Xyra) and the other three are Ravenclaw. Which is your favorite book?

  10. I think my favorite is "Prisoner of Azkaban". I really like Sirius Black and how he and Harry become reunited. I like how, in the book, Harry gets his new broom much earlier , not at the end like in the movie. I never took a sorting quiz! I'm looking online for that now.

  11. That's Xyra's favorite. She noted it is the only one where moldy old is only mentioned by name and never really makes an appearance. It's funny we each have different favorites; it's good there are seven. :)

There are several sorting quizzes. If you google it, choose the "pottermore version" one. But the Time and buzzfeed ones are okay too.

  12. 'Moldy old' haha that's funny. I think I agree with Xyra about that. What's your favorite Melody?

  13. I got Gryffindor!!! Woo hoo!

  14. Each of us have different favorites. Believe it or not, I think my favorite is The Deathly Hallows. I cried a lot, like a LOT. But there was so much good going on too, and we learned so much about so many of the characters.

  15. It's been so long since I read Deathly Hallows, I need to reread it. I really like how Snape turns out to be a hero and only at the end do we understand all he's done. After that I had to rethink all Snapes motives for the way he treated Harry.

  16. True! I get something new from the books every time I read them. They never get old.

  17. HI Melody, your last comment accidentally got deleted! I know you were saying how you wished you could send an owl to Harry while reading Deathly Hallows - YES! I love how all these hints and suspicions get all pulled together at the end. JK ROWLING is just such an amazing writer.

  18. Ah, that happens. Yes, JKR is amazing. Such depth to the Potterverse!
