I am sure you were all wondering what would go in the space next to
Lisa and Sarah's room?
Nellie's sewing room of course!
Here it is!
The sewing table and shelf were one piece that I cut into 2 pieces.
The dress form is a metal jewelry holder I found thrifting.
The sewing machine our Daddy made for us.
Spools of thread.
Nellie's tape measure.
(just ribbon with pen marks)
A basket for yarn.
This is a Craftabelle I found thrifting.
It makes a perfect sewing room cabinet.
Our ironing board, also made by Daddy.
And here is Nellie's stash of fabrics.
Nellie loves her new sewing room.
(and just in time for making Halloween costumes!)

Very nice! I love that thrifted cabinet, especially the bins. We must be on the same wavelength, I just finished up a sewing room project for my girls too, I'm hoping to post about it soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't wait to see your sewing room. I have been thinking about this since Chrissa's Craft Studio came out. Everything I had in mind seemed to come together all at once, I mean finding all the pieces I needed. Does that ever happen to you in your thrifting?
ReplyDeleteYes, it does. In fact, that's sort of what happened with this, I bought the It Seams Perfect set from OG and then all of a sudden I had this idea with it. I had a few things already that I intended for other stuff, picked up a few things and BAM, it all came together. Funny how that works, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteYes it is! Can't wait to see your sewing room all put together.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I wasn't familiar at all with Craftabelle until I saw this post, so I looked it up. Cute stuff, and I found the exact same item for $24.99 from Target, whoa! So I am doing the happy dance for you on that find! :) Only thing better than finding a good deal for yourself is when a thrifting friend finds one.
ReplyDeleteI know! Me too. THe crazy thing is that this Craftabelle was still in its plastic wrap!
