I love makeovers, whether it is the dolls or clothes and accessories for the dolls.Brenda and Sophiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13787440933135569659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11272804.post-1225544887354150852016-02-23T13:46:07.064-08:002016-02-23T13:46:07.064-08:00The Crissy and Velvet dolls were really well made ...The Crissy and Velvet dolls were really well made and the face sculpt is really amazing...
I well remember these dolls from my childhood, but I did not have a Velvet... but I do now, LOL and I hope to acquire a Cricket this year.

I have a fun short cut--- When you find a pattern that works (era style and scale) on a woman's blouse or shirt-- you can use part of the sleeve for a skirt--[ The waist band for the dolls is of course the normal wrist area, etc.,] I had fun making matching maxi skirts for Velvet and Crissy-- I only had to cut and zigzag the raw edge. I think I will use a regular french style hem the next time. I feel you - my sewing room is usually in some state of messy disaster! I recently steeled myself and cleaned up my post Christmas pile.Brenda and Sophiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13787440933135569659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11272804.post-42142527366750049182016-02-23T03:34:22.080-08:002016-02-23T03:34:22.080-08:00Absolutely adorable! I'm in the process of digging out my dining room (it's a wreck at the moment) and hopefully as the weather warms up I will be back to sewing.
