Update for the Crissy doll room

Is it just me?  Or does one project lead to another?
So, I kept seeing this in the Crissy room after a few hours.
The doll posters would just fall off the walls.
I tried double taping them and tacks would NOT go into this wood.

At first I thought maybe I should purchase a
frame of some kind and hang them on a small nail?
But, if you have read much of this blog, you will know
I decided I could make something!

I went to my sewing table and started playing around.
I glued the posters to a second layer of cardstock.

Then I cut them out.

Using ribbon, lace or other bric-a-brac, I made a frame.

I hot glued ribbon on the back to make a hanger.

So far so good!

I used tiny finishing nails to hang my art.

I know these look kind of arts and craftsy,
but they're for a 1970s room so I think it works.

And one more over the bunks.

OH! I also hung some pink fabric to see if I would like a pink wall better.
I think I like the fabric and may just leave it instead of painting.

And I added a hanging lamp that really lights
with a battery tea light.

The girls are happy with their new framed art,
wall color and hanging lamp!
Now we really need some macrame' wall art!

 Just follow the tutorial.

You can see how the knots should look

  Ta DA!

And here's another Macrame' for our room.

Well done Velvet!

Everything looks great, but those macramé pieces are perfect!

Thanks Flo! After creating frames for the artwork, it occurred to me that everyone did macrame' in the 70s. Who didn't have at least 1 macrame' plant hanger?

Very nice! What little girl wouldn't love a room like Crissy's.

Thank you Fawn! I have so much fun making doll rooms. Probably why I have so many!

This was fun! The macrame dragonfly makes me want to drag out my cord right this minute. :~)
