Thrift Store Fabric finds!

On a recent visit from a dear friend who is an AMAZING thrifter we found these 2 skirts.
Actually she found them and pointed out that they might make great doll dresses.

The white skirt has small roses embroidered all over
it and the green skirt has layers of lace, silky fabric and tulle.
I recently read that the slip pattern from the Molly pattern found here:
http://www.agplaythings.com/ag%20patterns/dolldresspatterns.html
made a perfect A-line dress.
I wanted to try out the slip pattern
and thought this might be a perfect time to try it out.

(If I get some photos of a second dress being sewn in either fabric I will try to add a tutorial)

Anyway, here is the end results!

I am very happy with the dresses.  Since the skirts are both lined
I was able to cut out the lining and dress all together.

The white dress I cut out about 1/2 an inch longer than the green, just an fyi.

Here is the AG patterns website again:   http://www.agplaythings.com/ag%20patterns/dolldresspatterns.html
