 "Let's watch our favorite movie!"
 "TOY STORY!"

"Oh, I love this scene!"

"I'm tired of this movie."

"PILLOW FIGHT!"

"WOO HOO!"
"Don't step on Emma, she's asleep."

"Hey, you guys, I am trying to watch this!"

 "Over here!"
"Here it comes Lydia!"

"Hey, I'm trying to hear this!"

 "Got you Julie!"

"Ha hah ha!"
"Hee hee"
 "zzzzzz..."

(Beth are you asleep?)
"hmmmph...zzz"

"Hey Nina, we are trying to sleep, turn that off."
"Yeah, you already watched it once!"

"This is my favorite part!"
(later)

Nina and Grandma are visiting!

Nina and grandma are here and now it is time for
Nina and Lydia to meet for the first time!

(In Emma's & Beth's Loft)
"Julie, get your camera ready."
"Well Lydia, are you nervous to meet your new sister?"
"A little, I am so glad you are here Emma!"

"Nina!"  "Lydia!"
"You girls didn't need me at all!'

"Oh Emma!  It's so good to see you again!"

"I have missed you all so much!"
"I am so happy to have a new sister Lydia!"
"Me too Nina."

"The rest of the girls are on their way up..."

"Oh you're here!  Beth, this is Nina!"

"It's so nice to meet you Nina."
"Nina!  I am SO happy to see you!"

 "Hugs all around!"

"Let me snap your picture!"

"Tell Lydia about Texas Nina..."

Doll Chair Makeover

I found this chair in a thrift store for $3.00.
I thought it would be perfect as a school desk.
Well, Sophie liked it, but the dolls didn't really fit in it very well.
The desk area made it so the dolls could not sit down all the way on the seat.
Since Sophie had discarded this desk as "not fun" I put it in Emma's Loft,
but I didn't like it either for the same reason.
So, MAKEOVER TIME!!

As you can see the first thing I did was knock off that desk!
Afterwards I had to reshape this side of the chair with the skill saw and sand it.
(sorry, no pictures of that)

Next was 2 coats of my white trim paint.
While that is drying I head for the sewing room.

I measured the seat of the chair and cut out some matching fabric
from Emma's daybed and made a pillow case.

I cut out a piece of my go-to pillow and mattress foam -
old (washed) egg crate foam from my kids beds - and made a cushion.
I didn't finish the open end of this pillow,
just folded inside like an old fashioned sandwich bag.

And here is the refinished chair!

BEFORE......and

 AFTER!!!

Here is the chair in Emma's Loft.

 I LOVE IT!!!

We did it again!!

Here she is!!
I have wanted an Elizabeth doll since I bought one for a gift.
She is so beautiful.
I found her on Ebay.  I paid a little more than original full price,
but Elizabeth is retired from American Girl and as you can see she is still in her box.

Here she is modeling a regency dress I made.

And, here she is with her new BFFs, Emma and Lydia.

Ahhh, relaxing in the Loft.

We have not decided yet if she will stay Elizabeth or get a new name.
Any suggestions?
